Pick Wide if any one of these is you:
- You buy “wide” elsewhere, or you size up to get room and the heel slips.
- Your little toe or the outside of your foot goes numb in normal boots.
- You have bunions, or your toes feel crushed even when the length is right.
- Your instep is high and boots barely close over the top of your foot.
Otherwise Standard: it is made for standard to slightly wide feet.

Ball is the distance around the ball of the foot, Width is the flat width at the same point, both in mm. Every size gains the same 13 mm around the ball, arch and instep and the same 5 mm of flat width, and keeps the Standard length. Sizes below US 6 and above US 10.5 are graded from the same base at the same rate.
These are measurements of the last, the form the boot is built on, not of a foot. Use them to compare Standard with Wide. Your own foot will not match them number for number.

- Add about 10 mm to the length. A 247 mm foot takes US 8 (257 mm insole). Between two sizes? The larger. Never size up for width.

What width letter is this? D? EE?
No letter, because letters differ by brand: one label's D is another label's EE. We publish millimetres instead, in the table above. In plain words: Wide is 13 mm bigger around the ball, arch and instep than our Standard, and Standard is already made for standard to slightly wide feet. If you buy wide elsewhere, choose Wide. Only a little wide? Standard.
What if my feet are wider than your Wide?
It can happen, and we would rather tell you now than after you pay. Wide will not be enough for every foot. If you buy extra wide, or have severe bunions, email cs@skatheia.com your foot length and the width across the ball before you order. We will tell you honestly whether Wide will work.
Will it swim on me?
The length is the same as Standard, and the laces take up spare room. If your feet are only a little wide, Standard may be the better pick.
Will they stretch to my foot?
In Premium Vegan Leather, barely: it is soft from day one but keeps its size, so order your measured size and width. Top Grain Leather is firm at first, then it eases and shapes to your foot.
What if it still does not fit?

Bunions, orthotics, a brace?
The room is at the ball and over the instep, and the foam insole lifts out for your own orthotic. One buyer wears hers with a leg brace.

Not in Premium Vegan Leather: $119.99 in either fit. In Top Grain Leather, Wide is $184.99 and Standard $179.99.
